This video collage uses exoticism as a starting point to explore colonial and geographical imaginations relating to the island imagery. Through a collection of footage shot in Montreal and Réunion island, the work investigates decolonial thoughts on landscape and identity.

En prenant pour point de départ la notion d’exotisme, ce collage vidéo explore les imaginaires géographiques et coloniaux qui entourent la figure de l’île. À travers un assemblage de plans tournés sur l’Île de la Réunion et à Montréal, la pièce s’inscrit dans une pensée décoloniale des paysages et de l’identité.
